This commissioned rock-painted sandgrouse was one of the most complex painted stones I ever…
Kestrel
This rock painted kestrel was a real challenge! I found an incredibly shaped stone on the beach, and I decided to add for the first time a small beak using a very strong synthetic paste. I worked with great care on all plumage details, and I painted the kestrel on both sides.

Stunning job, Roberto!
Your kestrel is just beautiful! I don’t know how you do those small feathery strokes so perfect. A stunning representation of a gorgeous bird!
